The Atlanta Climate Justice Listening Sessions and Townhall are a partnership effort between the Georgia Environmental Coalition of Colour, Georgia Conservation Voters, ThreadATL, The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, Georgia Audubon, and other community partners. We prioritize space for community members who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color), those who are low-income or public-transit dependent, renters, and those who identify as disabled to join us to provide comment on environmental health and safety issues they face here in the Atlanta region to City of Atlanta and regional leadership. We will compile the feedback provided by community members to generate actionable recommendations for City of Atlanta and regional officials to begin to address equity-focused community concerns around environmental health and safety.
