WHAT DOES THE CITY COUNCIL PRESIDENT DO?
The City Council President is elected at-large (citywide) and serves a four year term. They break ties, appoint committee chairs and step in should anything happen to the Mayor until a new Mayor is found. There are no term limits for the Council President.
Our current City Council President is Felicia Moore.
On November 7, 2017, 97,135 City of Atlanta residents voted for candidates for mayor, city council and school board.

On December 5th, 2017, Felicia Moore was elected as Atlanta City Council President with 55% of the vote.
Felicia was elected to the Atlanta City Council in 1997, and served five terms representing the citizens of District 9.
